"Booger Goddess"

I am so thankful I am not a single mother, and I am so thankful that I am not chronically ill. Our family has been sick for almost two months now. It is so annoying, Brodyn got a short break where he was healthy for about a week, but lo and behold, those sick bugs came back and bit him on the butt again. I've had a cold for awhile but Saturday I kind of got the flu, I fevered and my whole body ached, in fact I was exhausted, I didn't want to move. Emmy pooped her pants and it took all my energy to change her, I didn't even take her to her changing table just changed her right on the family room floor, and then she totally poops again 15 minutes later, I was dying. Then I just left the diapers on the bench I had no energy to take them out to the garbage, I was miserable. I kept thinking I am so glad I have Dan to at least take Brody and help clean up, those poor single moms who just don't get a break whether they are sick or not.

Then Emmy wakes up every morning a "Booger Goddess" I am talking boogers from ear to ear, forehead to chin, how she even breaths I have no idea. She'll be sitting in her high-chair and Dan will come over to kiss her goodbye and he'll say "Wow Em, you look beautiful!!" She looks miserable in the morning!!

Brody coughed so hard today, I guess it didn't help either that we were playing kickball in the house, anyway he coughed so hard it jumped started his gag reflex, I'm sure all you mom's no what happened next, puke comes catapulting out of him, thank heavens there was a blanket right next to him, I just grabbed it and held it under his mouth, I was laughing the whole time because he was just convulsing and barf was coming out of him like an erupting volcano. The carpet was saved and I took him and the blanket and deposited him in the tub, what a mess. Then later that night when we were laying down to sleep I started coughing and Brody says "be careful, food in tummy come out!!"

"Everyone say Cheese!!"

Here's Emmy and Brodyn, I like to do pictures every year, and usually get Brodyn's year mark. He is 3 yrs old now, such a big boy, he is finally potty trained, for the most part, I'm sure we'll have a few more accidents, I assume that is just to be expected, but thanks to Grandma Brenchley's tried and true method, we are totally successful, I didn't think it was ever going to happen!!
Emmy is so funny, she is such a little gremlin right now, with her lone front tooth and two bottom ones!!! She was not impressed with pictures this time, so sitting with Brodyn was quite the ordeal for her! But thank goodness she loves to give kisses!
And here is our little gremlin, I was just laughing at her the whole time, thinking "Emmy just one good smile, I'm not asking for much just one!" Well I don't think she gave me her best, it was a not so photogenic day, but what can you expect from a 13mo old!! Whether they smile or not, babies are beautiful!
Look at those curls, we just whacked them off today, I thought I'd get his pictures with them long, just so we can remember them curly. I am sure he'll be like his dad and loose the curl, but maybe always be a little wavy, and then go darker.
Brody always does pretty good with pictures, he gets bored at the end so that is why we bring the portable DVD player so mom can actually sit and decided which pictures she wants, that is the worst part, because when the picture taking is done they are done and ready to be out of there!!
This is my favorite picture of her in her cute tights and all!

Helping Dad put our table together, that is what Dan and I got for Christmas, a table with four chairs. We've been married almost 8 yrs and are barely getting a kitchen table!
Emmy having fun in Dad's tool box, anything where she could get into trouble she's all about!!
Emmy with Dad and her cousin Abby, who doesn't look to happy being with Dan, but I wanted to get pictures together with their identical sweaters from Grandma Thatcher.

Brody's Christmas

Brody was one of the three wise-men, in the Brenchley family nativity. Actually he was a wise-man/the incredible Hulk, with all that green the hulk just has to come out!!

Brody at the Thatcher Christmas/New Year's party, He got this cute hoodie from Grandma Thatcher, and those awesome Santa socks!! Grandma Thatcher has 17 grandchildren, and she got sweaters for all of them, and got all sizes correct, amazing!! Way to go Grandma!

Brody out Shoveling with Dad!!

Brodyn helping Mom open her present!

Santa brought Brodyn a cool disney's cars bike, and here is Brody trying to ride it for the first time, by summer he is going to be all over the place!!

Christmas Time

Here's Brodyn with his aunt Stephanie! We had a pajama Christmas/New Years party with the Thatcher family, it was so much fun!!

Emmy chow'in down on one of Santa's cookies we left him the night before!! She is sporting her styling giraffe slippers!

Brody and Emmy racing there animals, the dinosaur is Brody's and the Lion is Emmy's but I think Brody likes the lion best! Emmy can actually get off on her own but not on!

Yeah, someone is a big fan of Santa this year!! He loved opening the presents, we had to wake him up, I think Dan and I were the excited ones. Grandma and Grandpa Brenchley and Lance came to watch the kids open presents, they got here before Brodyn woke up!

Well Santa's elves dropped off Four packages on our front doorstep, on Christmas Eve. There was glitter and Christmas confetti all over the presents, the steps and the porch. The Elves must have left some Christmas dust and magic behind!! Inside the presents were brand new pajamas, and slippers! The elves were letting us know that it was bedtime and that Santa was on his way!!
