Belated Baby Animal's Day!

Since we were in St. George the weekend of 'Baby Animal Day's' at the Heritage Center in Wellsville, we didn't get to go to the main event. However, we didn't miss out...because we went the weekend after and they were still doing a majority of the events, minus all the crowds..  There was hardly anyone around, so we sneaked back toward the old tractors and cars and Brody and Emmy climbed into an old Ford and played around!  When visiting the large Clydesdale Emmy was a bit nervous and wouldn't go near them, Brodyn on the other hand was mesmerized and not intimidated at all!  I was so proud of her though when we did the pony rides, she did so good.  At the fair last year she wouldn't have anything to do with riding a pony, but she put on her own little safety hat and mounted up like such a big girl today at the Baby Animal Day's, I couldn't believe it, she held on tight and enjoyed the whole ride! I was such a proud mom! She is such a brave little thing!

St. George Trip!

We decided we needed a little vacation, so we drove south to find some warm weather and tons of sunshine, since we hardly get any of it here! We drove down with Ammon and Alison and their family, in the big Green Van! We met Matt, Jen, Kelly and Ryan with their families in St. George! We had so much fun, I hope we can make this a family tradition and head south every spring!  In the middle of town near the tabernacle, their is a fun waterfall and little river that runs through the square. There is also a place where the kids can sit and wait for water to spit out of the ground into a fountain, similar to the gateway in SLC.  Emmy just had her clothes on but that wasn't stopping her from jumping in. She loved climbing on the little rocks. Thanks Jen for letting us borrow a swim diaper!

We hiked around the red cliffs, the little arches were so fun, Brody was a little nervous being on top, because the wind was blowing making it hard for him to keep balanced!  We also went swimming.  There is an awesome swim park inside the recreation center, it had slides, and water toys galore! We had a blast! I think we could have stayed all day!  Emmy loved going down the slide with Dan! Brody wouldn't go down the slide it made him nervous.  Emmy went down both small one's, the red one, the blue one on the other side of the jungle gym, and then the big one that circles outside! She was our brave one! Brody just wanted to swim like a shark!  There was this fun outdoor park that Jen found the last time she was in St. George, so we hung out there for half a day, and Emmy and Brody had a Blast!

Easter Festivities!

For the Easter party at Grandma Thatcher's she sectioned off the yard, the youngest kids got to pick up eggs on the East side of the house, the older kids in the back and front depending on age.  The youngest kids always get to start first!  My kids had a blast especially Emmy she was giggling picking up the treats and eggs!  Grandma Brenchley also had a fun Easter Egg hunt!  She is amazing at painting faces! Emmy was magically turned into a cute little Easter Bunny!  It was cold this spring, so Grandma Brenchley's egg hunt was inside!  Easter is one of our favorite holidays!
