Winter Blues!

Oh my world, will I ever have any energy to do what I want to do in a day? Winter, thank heavens you are about to disappear! This time of year is so draining, I don't want to do anything but sit on my heater (aka lack of a fireplace) and wrap a blanket around myself and sit and be lazy! I feel so bad for my kids because we are just stuck in our house. We are either stuck inside with 3 toddlers and one baby, or it's so cold outside we can't go out, and then I don't want to take them anywhere that they could possibly pick up yet another "sick-bug"!

I feel so bad telling Brody no for the 9th time that I can't play dinosaurs with him because I've been so lazy that my house is on the verge of a "natural disaster" and that today I must deep clean something, before someone drops in for a visit unannounced and thinks I am raising two cute little piggies in the perfect "pig-stye"!

Today I wrote down on a list what I wanted to do:

1-pick up Jeannine's toothbrush at work and mail it to her
2-make quick walmart run
3-EXERCISE (in bold because I really wanted to start working out again)
4-clean out 1 section of kitchen cupboards and pledge
5-clean Master Bathroom and Bedroom
6-go to Grandma Brenchley's to play

And what did I accomplish? Number 5...1/2 check, number 6...check! that is it, that is all I accomplished today on my somewhat short list... what is my problem! It is my winter blues, I have no energy to do anything, then I don't do anything and then it snowballs and gets worse! Then I ate two sugar cookies!

I feel your pain..... I am sooooo tired of the winter and all the things that come with it.

I also can't seem to mark off much on my to do list either. They just get added to. I need one of those sugar cookies.

I would have to agree with all you said! I feel lazy and its hard to get things done. And I feel bad for my kiddos who are stuck inside our little apartment. Winter is hard!
