Brodyn you turned 5 years old today, where did the years go? The first time that I realized that yes indeed you would grow up, was when you started to crawl. Your baby soft knees became dry, a little rough and slightly callused! Now you keep growing, you are getting taller and skinnier. Each birthday that comes and goes seems to gradually melt away a baby feature here and another there. I miss you, I miss you, every stage that passes me by. I see your little pictures and I look at that tiny face and it's hard to remember that little baby boy, because my 5 year old is who I can't get enough of now!

We actually had a birthday celebration the Saturday before. When you pick up the cake and balloons up on Saturday because you can't on Sunday, it is just too much to ask a toddler to wait a whole other day to open presents!!

They do grow up so fast. Faster than I ever imagined. I am hving a hard time thinking that my first baby boy is leaving on a mission in only 4 years. Cherish each day.
