Fourth of July!

 Fourth of July has always been a favorite holiday for me.  It's the day after my birthday and family always comes to celebrate.  It is so much fun and I look forward to it every year!  Who wouldn't enjoy fireworks on their birthday!!  My mom said when Melissa and I were born my dad was watching the Stadium of Fire fireworks through the hospital window while she was in labor! This year was extra special because baby Hazel was here.  Last year was difficult to get through after we lost baby John, having little Hazel here has healed so many of our wounds!  We were so grateful and over joyed to have her with us!!

 The Hyrum parade is an absolute must for the Brenchley family.  It is such a tradition to be there.  Parades are not Brodyn's favorite thing to attend strangely enough.  About half way through he wanted to ride his bike back to grandma's to play!!  I usually walk to the parade from my mom's and this year the kids rode their bike, it was a genius idea!  Grandma Thatcher and Jade came for a little bit, but didn't stay for the whole thing we weren't lucky enough to find shade so sitting out in the hot sun was hard!  Afterwards we went back to Grandma Brenchley's and had hot dogs and hamburgers and the kids swam in the pool!!  Mck, Danielle, Dan and I went on a horse back ride up Blacksmith Fork Canyon later that evening and had such a nice time, it was a beautiful ride!  It has been several years since I last rode a horse.  I was super nervous but got my groove back about half way through the ride.  I'm not as nervous when the horses get a little worn out and really only want to slowly walk!  It helped that our two horses were so fat and out of shape that they trailed slowly behind...that's my kind of riding!!  Grandma watched the kids and when we got home the city fireworks show was under way and Grandpa had sparklers for the kids.  It was a perfect 4th of July!!
