Happy Birthday Darling!

My little girl turned 5yrs old! I can not believe my little Emmy is now officially 5yrs old! Looking back and seeing how she has grown and how much she has changed, brings a smile to my face and tears to my eyes!  How bitter sweet these little mile stones are!  I asked Emmy what type of birthday cake she wanted!  She responded, "A Zebra Cake!"  A zebra cake is pretty random isn't it? This is why I love my little Emmy, she completely marches to her own drum!  She is not obsessed with princesses, barbies, my little ponies, or any other "girly" thing.   She is so versatile, and has a huge range of likes!  So when she ordered a zebra cake I wasn't surprised.  This is just one of the many things I love about my little girl! Next, was how to create a zebra cake.  Well I got on pinterest and figured out how to make the batter into a zebra pattern, but then had to make-up my own zebra shape for the cake!  Emmy helped me and we had so much funny making her cake!  Three quarter size cakes completed the ensemble!  It turned out pretty fantastic I must say!  Crazy thing is, when I headed to Walmart looking for zebra party favors, I was shocked at what I found!  Apparently zebra print is in, because I came home with plates, cups, napkins, candles, streamers and even a zebra print "Happy Birthday" sign!  Then Emmy decided on Strawberry Shortcake balloons, so random, I love, love, love you 'Emmy the Bemmy'! Here is how much she has grown from birthday to birthday!  Happy Birthday Darling!
