The Tooth Fairy is Coming to Visit!

It happened...it finally happened, the first lost tooth! This little tooth has been wiggly for quite awhile. It has been flapping in the breeze for about two weeks! Brody kept wiggly it on his own and doing a great job! Every night he'd say..."Mom try and pull it out now!" and I'd try to grab onto to it and wiggle it out but it kept hanging on! Tonight we tried one more go at it. I tried the twist and pull to break it's vice like grip on his gums, that didn't work. Brody was about to say, "no more" when I did a last bend all the way forward and..."POP" out it came! I didn't tell him I got it out, just waited for him to realize it! It took him a little bit to realize it was gone and then in amazement he said..."it's out!" In the first few pictures he looks like a little vampire! He kept giggling after and looking in the mirror to check out his new smile! Emmy was quite perturbed and couldn't believe I would do such a thing. She said to me..."you aren't going to pull my tooth mom!" I think the bloody smile Brody showed her gave her quite the shock! Afterward Brody said to Emmy..."it doesn't even hurt Emmy when mom pulls your tooth, you don't even feel it...it just goes POP!" I think he is quite proud of himself! We placed the tooth in a little red squinkie ball and placed it under his pillow!! We'll see if the Tooth Fairy comes tonight!!

Brodyn's First Kindergarten Program!

Brody had a Kindergarten program that we were invited to. It was a nursery rhyme sing along. The kids had learned, a few rhymes like humpty dumpty, three blind mice, Jack be nimble Jack be quick, Jack and Jill went up the hill, and hickory dickory dock into some really fun and catchy tunes! Brodyn was excited for us to come to school and see him perform. The kids all walked onto the stage wearing these cool shades! They rapped a few of the nursery rhymes. Emmy was completely intrigued watching these big kids perform. She can't wait to go to school. It was so fun to watch Brody following the cues his Kindergarten teacher was giving and singing his best!

Family Fun Bowling Night!

We finally took our kids bowling. It was a really fun night, regardless of a few bumps and bruises ! A few tidbits to remember for the next "bowling night".

1-remind the kids that the bowling balls are really heavy and that they shouldn't play with them in the rack, because fingers will get pinched again.
2- use the bowling ball launcher!
3- keep the bumper rails up for mom too!!
4- remind Emmy not to play around with the car seat too avoid another bloody nose.
5-remind Brodyn it's okay if Emmy wins, and that he'll still beat me!
6-try not to come in last again, it's embarrassing to loose to a 4 yr old!!

We had a good time, and I am excited to do it again. Brody had a bad attitude on the drive home because he didn't win, he was a complete grump and said, "bowling is so dumb, and not fun at all." Emmy had a blast other than a bumped bloody nose from goofing around with the car seat. Sophia took turns sitting on everyone's lap and watching the action. Dan was so cute helping the kids pick up the balls and roll them down the alley. I live for fun family times like these!!

St. George Trip!

I'm a little late posting this, but better late then never! We drove South to St. George with our friends and had such a great time! We had fun getting away from home and enjoying some light jacket weather! We visited the Red Rocks, the kids always have a blast crawling into the cavities!Sophia was amazing she did that long drive and barely cried at all!She didn't get her regular naps, just quick cat naps here and there, but did great the entire trip!My two munchkins! We of course went to Bear Paw Poppy to ride bikes and had a great time, Dan and I took turns with Sophia and both got to ride the trail with the kids, Emmy still has a hard time with the bumpy terrain but she still enjoys herself!Brodyn is a master on his little bike! Dan and him went quite far up the base of Bear Paw!Don't you love his awesome helmet! It's so 80's!Careful Dad!I tried to get the whole group in this picture but nobody was cooperating! This is a hole in the rock, where we actually got like 10 kids in, I forgot how many they actually squeezed in there, but they thought it was fun, a little claustrophobic for me!Here is some of them crawling out! The rest are still in there!Dan trying to be athletic!! Hold on and use those muscles!Hang on girl!Sleepy girl found a little bed to lay down!We had so much fun, we may have to go back again this year, I think we'll turn it into an annual trip!
