A Quick Trip up Blacksmith Fork!

Danielle invited us camping up Blacksmith Fork Canyon.  We had soccer games the next morning so we were only able to go up for the evening.  We roasted bratwursts and coconut covered marshmallow's s'mores!  The weather was a little cool and drizzly, but it felt good to be in the mountains again!  Now the weather is warming up we'll have a lot more camping trips to look forward too!

Rocks for Sale $.25

Emmy and Max sold rocks the other day.  Tricia made them an awesome sign.  They picked out special rocks and painted each one!  I couldn't believe how many people they were able to flag down!  Emmy would jump up and down waving her hands high up in the air and screaming as loud as her little voice could, "Rocks for Sale!"  They collected quite a bit of money!  They were out there so long we eventually brought out an umbrella to shade them!  Emmy wants to try a lemonade stand next!

Emmy's Spring Ballent Concert!

Emmy was really excited for Ballet to be done with she was looking forward to the break!  She also was super excited about her ballet recital at the Ellen Eccles Theater! Dan and I of course get so excited to watch her be so big and perform on such a big stage!  I love watching ballet, the concert was great, watching Emmy was the icing on the cake!  I totally got emotional and a little teary eyed while I was recording her dance!  They danced to a classical version of Taylor Swift's "Love Story" song!  When they dance their instructor does the dance in front of them but off to the side behind the curtain so the little ones can watch and remember the dance.  At one point Emmy was doing the opposite as everyone else and you could just tell by her reactions and expressions that her instructor was trying to get her on the right step but Emmy was sure she was right!  It was funny!  I'm glad I got the disagreement recorded!  She did eventually get on track and then finished off strong!!  Dan brought her flowers of course and both of them walked back to the car hand in hand I couldn't help but snap a few pictures of them!

Mountainside's Annual Grade School Run!

Mountainside Elementary has a run each year for each grade!  First Graders run only half a mile!  I wish I would have remembered this run, I would have taken Brodyn out and praticed running a half mile!  When he came around the first lap I could tell he was getting tired.  He walked a little bit on the 2nd lap, but then finished out strong!  He was so tired!! He was pretty proud of himself though, and I couldn't help but smile and be so excited for him!!  I wish I could have ran it with him!  There was music playing and everyone was cheering for all the kids it is such a fun event!  Brodyn's time was 4 min and 33 seconds way to go buddy!

Happy 2nd Birthday Sophia!

What a fun day we had celebrating Sophie's number 2 birthday! It was on Saturday this year and so we had a little family get together.  She had a cupcake birthday cake, she got two babies, a baby stroller, and a little dollhouse!  She had so much fun blowing out candles!  Sophia is quite independent now! She says "I do it" a lot!  She climbs on everything and nothing is too high for her to get at!  I hid her binki's up high in the cupboard and she figured out where they were and climbs up to get one whenever I'm not looking!  Her binki is still her BFF!  She loves to go outside, she'll sneak out any chance she can!  She also loves to go on bike rides with me and the kids!  She still loves falling asleep on my neck and even if I've been gone only 5 min when I return she gives me the type of hug that you would give someone you haven't seen for years!  I adore every inch of her and can't seem to get enough of her.  We love you Sophia!  Every moment with you takes our breath away!
