I jinxed us, in our Christmas card news letter, I wrote that with Emmy we had made it through the year without any broken bones or stitches, "Why Did I Write That!" about a week before Christmas Emmy was reaching for some tissue and fell on this metal giraffe toilet paper holder and skewered right in between her eyes. After saying a quick thankful prayer to Heavenly Father for guiding that metal object away from her eyes, I decided it was worth having the Dr. check it out for possible stitches. Emmy of course did not want to go, this being her second encounter with stitches, knew all it entailed and did not want anything to do with a shot! The puncture was small yet pretty deep and when the Dr. looked at it he said, "Let's stitch it, she would hate a large scar right in between her eyes!" So in we headed to the operating room and to our surprise no shots were needed to numb the area! Our amazing Dr. globed a big drop of yellow boogery numbing goop(AkA Lidocaine) onto a cotton ball and had us hold it over the cut for about ten minutes. It numbed the area perfect, there were no tears, my little girl was so brave (no surprise there), and two stitches later she was almost as good as new! Oh my sweet little "stitch", (which we call her when she brings home a pair of them) you've got to be careful!
I also really do have a little boy who was singing "All I Want for Christmas is my Two Front Teeth!" He's so cute without them! He is not a tooth wiggler, which drives me nuts, all I wanted to to do was hog-tie him and rip them out. He insists he does it on his own, and how can I take that from him, in the end he gets them out, usually when he bites into a soft cinnamon roll or sneezes too hard! With his last central he looked liked a jack-o-lantern, I tried to take his picture but he got mad at me for laughing at it! It was so funny, how a tooth can wedge itself horizontal and not fall out is beyond me, but Brodyn's last central seemed to manage it, I was so glad when it was finally lost and my hill-billy boy disappeared!

Cute Emmy~ I am so glad that she is okay. That should heal just great. That was fortunate that it missed her eyes. What a blessing. She is a tough girl.
