"Summer is Over!"

The Pool has closed for the summer, we are so sad. We tried to go once a week, during the summer, but right toward the end with that cold weather over labor day weekend we put in as many days in a row as we could. I knew winter would be on our toes soon and Brody and Emmy would be inside for most of it. So we were soaking up as much sun as we could!
Here is Emmy with Jeannine, she was getting so tired and sun worn that she took a break with bean under some shade reading twilight!! She loved the pool, she won't keep her little hat on though, I should have gotten one that snapped under her chin, but we kept sunblock on her and she didn't get one sunburn!!
I put Brodyn in a waterbabies class. It lasted 2 weeks and we went everyday. It was such a blast I can't wait to put Emmy in it next summer, while Brodyn gets to be in the preschool age swim class. Waterbabies was fun because I got to get in with him and learn safety with kids in the pool. Brody learned how to blow bubbles in the water, dunk his head, jump in, and my favorite is, hold his breath under water. Before the waterbabies class he was a little unbalanced in the water, but after he was doing the crocodile crawl, bunny hops, dunking his head, holding his breath. Now he is a fish in the water, or rather a "shark" that's what he calls himself.

This picture is of him counting to three with his fingers before he jumped to dad in the water! he says "one...free. two...free....jump!!"

The funniest thing is that he'll belly flop into the water and stay submerged because he's holding his breath but it looks like he's drowning. Other mothers in the pool would look over at him and think he was drowning, one mom actually reached down to pull him up, but of course he popped up before she needed to save him. I was always right by him too. I'm such a worry wart!!
