Mother's day turned out to be a "bust" for me...mainly because I let myself get too busy and had a lot of things that I had to do. So needless to say, I have had better! But as I thought about how lucky I am to be the mother of three amazing kids, I felt so blessed, even though my day was not filled with rest and relaxation or even appreciation which are the normal things one comes to expect from Mother's Day.
I did get some amazing gifts-
From Sophia = sleeping completely through the night without even a slight stir to wake me on Saturday night...thanks my little one!
From Emmy = A card that's got a recording of your voice saying "Happy Mother's Day...I love you!" I will be able to hear always. Your voice is one of my favorite sounds! Oh, and also my fabulous butterfly ring that's covered in "bling!" I love it because you picked it out for me!
From Brodyn = The amazing little letter you brought home from school that has your hand print on it, which I accidentally saw before Mother's Day as I was cleaning out your back pack...oops!(you were so bumped I saw it early) It was so sweet, it made my eyes water!
Mira gave me a Mother's Day book with a compilation of quotes and thoughts about mother's. I almost gasped at one because it captured exactly how I feel as a mother!
